TL;DR — The 10 Levels of Biohacking
- You are already a biohacker. Coffee is a drug. Creatine is synthetic. Whitening your teeth is chemistry. The only question is your level.
- There are three ladders every human climbs: Body, Mind, and Spirit. Ten levels each.
- Level 1 is everything society promotes — sunlight, exercise, meditation, vitamins. Level 10 is everything society fears — gene editing, limb lengthening, brain implants, the strongest psychedelics on Earth. Same ladder, different altitude.
- The secret of Level 10 is not a single compound — it is a protocol. Every pathway of a human attribute fired at once. That is how my Mass Blast experiments built muscle faster than ever before in human history.
- Every champion climbed these ladders, then hid them from you. The lie that you can ascend without biohacking exists to keep you beta and controllable.
What level are you on?
You didn’t know there were levels. That is the point. You drink coffee, you take creatine, you whiten your teeth, you wear blue-light glasses. You are a biohacker already — you just never measured your altitude. Welcome to Level 1.
Biohacking is simply using science, technology, and self-experimentation to change your body, your mind, and your lifespan on purpose. The mainstream version of that sentence sounds wholesome because it lives at the bottom of the ladder. But the ladder keeps going long after society stops pointing at it. Understanding the levels of biohacking — and knowing exactly where you stand on each of the three ladders — is the difference between drifting through a default life and engineering a superhuman one.
The Three Ladders: Body, Mind, Spirit
Every human being is climbing three ladders at once, whether they admit it or not.
Your body. Level 1 is sunlight and exercise. Level 10 is gene editing and limb lengthening.
Your mind. Level 1 is your morning coffee. Level 10 is a brain implant wired straight into your cortex.
Your spirit. Level 1 is meditation. Level 10 is the strongest psychedelics on Earth.
Everything society promotes sits at the bottom of each ladder. Everything society fears sits at the top. It is the same ladder — the only thing that changes is altitude. Researchers who study biohacking already describe it as a spectrum: it runs from accessible lifestyle and nutrition tweaks, through hands-on DIY biology, all the way up to “grinders” who implant hardware and run gene and stem-cell experiments on themselves. They drew the same ladder I did. They just refused to climb it.
Below is the map. Find yourself on each one.

Look closely and you will notice something. The bottom of every ladder is legal, encouraged, and slow. The top of every ladder is feared, restricted, and fast. Nobody is afraid of you meditating. People get very afraid when you talk about rewiring the same nervous system with a molecule that does in one night what meditation does in ten years. Tony Huge’s biohacking archive is a guided tour up every rung.
The Secret of Level 10: It Is a Protocol, Not a Compound
Here is the part nobody tells you. Level 10 is not a single intervention. It is not one magic injection or one perfect molecule. Level 10 is a protocol — every pathway of a human attribute activated at once.
That is exactly how my Mass Blast experiments built muscle faster than ever before in human history. They did not rely on one mechanism. They fired every muscle-building mechanism the body has, simultaneously.
The biology backs this up completely. Skeletal muscle does not grow through a single switch — it grows through several independent systems that converge on the same outcome:
- The androgen receptor drives the core anabolic signal.
- The IGF-1 / Akt / mTOR pathway ramps protein synthesis. Akt inhibits TSC1/TSC2, activates Rheb-GTP, fires mTOR complex-1, phosphorylates p70S6K, and protein synthesis floods the cell.
- Myostatin inhibition releases the brake. Myostatin signals through SMAD2/3 to suppress growth; block it — with follistatin, for example — and you neutralize the body’s own governor on muscle size.
- Satellite cell proliferation adds new nuclei so the muscle can physically hold more tissue. In animal models, follistatin overexpression raised muscle weight by about 37% — but only ~20% when satellite-cell proliferation was blocked, proving the cell-proliferation arm is doing real work.
Push only one of these and the others hold you back. Push all four at once and the results compound past anything a natural lifter has ever produced. This is what I call Law 5 — independent receptor stacking: different receptors run on independent signaling pathways, so you can activate the androgen receptor, the GH/IGF-1 axis, the myostatin/follistatin governor, and satellite-cell machinery simultaneously without diminishing returns. Stacking compounds that hit different receptors is synergistic. Stacking compounds that hit the same receptor just gives you diminishing returns.
Physics analogy: batteries in parallel versus in series. Parallel — different pathways — gives additive current with no voltage competition. That is Level 10. Every governor released, every accelerator floored, at the same time.
This same logic scales to every ladder. Level 10 of the mind is not one nootropic — it is hardware plus pharmacology plus stimulation, layered. Level 10 of the spirit is not one ceremony — it is the deepest entheogen combined with breath, set, setting, and integration. The protocol beats the pill, every time. For the physical version of this fired across an entire cycle, study the multi-compound growth protocols that stack hormonal levers instead of relying on a single drug.
Every Champion Climbed These Ladders — Then Hid Them From You
The biggest lie ever told to you is that you can ascend without biohacking. That you can reach the top on grit and oatmeal alone. It is not true, and the people selling you that lie know it is not true — because they climbed the ladders themselves.
Athletes are on PEDs. The strongest, fastest, most-decorated bodies in history did not run on chicken and willpower. Look honestly at the records and the open conversation around enhanced sport — the altitude was always chemical.
Tycoons are on amphetamines and psychedelics. This is not a fringe rumor anymore — it is reported in Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, and beyond. Silicon Valley executives microdose psilocybin and LSD for creativity, macrodose for breakthrough ideas, and use ketamine for mood and focus. Elon Musk has publicly described using ketamine. The boardroom is a Level 6-to-8 mind-ladder operation that wears a quarter-zip and calls it wellness.
Golfers are on ketamine and beta blockers. Beta blockers are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency specifically in golf, archery, shooting, billiards, and darts — because they kill the tremor and flatten the nerves, turning a shaking hand into a surgeon’s hand. The precision elite have quietly used the steady-hand molecule for decades. WADA only bothers to ban what actually works.
Every one of them climbed. And every one of them sold you the same lie on the way down: that you should stay at Level 1. That lie is not an accident. It keeps you beta and controllable. A population that believes the ceiling is their natural maximum never reaches for the ladder, never competes, never threatens anyone above them. The lie is a leash.
From Sub-Human to Superhuman
My protocols take you from powerless to superpowered. From modern sub-human to futuristic superhuman. Off the hamster wheel — from sideways to vertical. Most people spend their whole lives running hard horizontally, exhausted, going nowhere, because nobody ever told them the ladder pointed up.
You do not have to sprint to the top. Climb slowly if you want. Climb one rung. But climb. The crime is not being on Level 1. The crime is dying on Level 1 because you were told there was nothing above you. If you want to see what the first rungs above the mainstream actually look like in practice, the looksmaxxing and enhancement playbook and the hormone-optimization breakdowns are Level 4-to-6 territory you can start studying today.
How to Find Your Level and Climb the Next Rung
Stop guessing. Audit yourself honestly on all three ladders right now. Most people are Level 1-2 on body, Level 1 on mind (coffee only), and Level 0 on spirit. That is not a judgment — it is a starting coordinate. Here is how to move:
- Mark your altitude on each ladder. Be honest. Coffee and a gym membership is Level 1-2, not Level 8.
- Climb one rung at a time. Do not jump from Level 2 to Level 9. The body, mind, and spirit each need to adapt to the rung below before the next one is safe or useful.
- Get bloodwork and data first. You cannot optimize what you do not measure. Every level above 4 should be guided by labs and tracked response, not vibes.
- When you reach the higher rungs, think in protocols, not pills. Remember Law 5 — stack independent pathways, not redundant ones.
- Never stop. The moment you stop climbing, you start sliding. Maintenance is just slow descent dressed up as comfort.
Most Men Die With Their Song Still Unsung
Society exists to limit your potential. Not out of malice — out of momentum. Systems are built to keep most people predictable, and a Level 1 human is the most predictable human there is. The protocols break the chains. They are how you take the precious, finite time of your life on this earth and actually spend it ascending, instead of waiting.
Because here is what I believe: stop climbing, and you waste this life — and you come back to fail the same test, lifetime after lifetime, until you finally ascend. Most men die with their unsung song still locked in their heart. They had the voice. They had the ladder. They just never climbed high enough to be heard.
Don’t be most men. Find your level. Take the next rung. Sing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the levels of biohacking?
The levels of biohacking describe how far a person has climbed three parallel ladders — body, mind, and spirit — with ten levels each. Level 1 is what society openly promotes (sunlight, exercise, coffee, meditation, vitamins) and Level 10 is what society fears (gene editing, limb lengthening, brain implants, and the strongest psychedelics). It is the same ladder at every level; only the altitude and intensity change.
How do I know what biohacking level I’m on?
Audit each ladder separately. On the body ladder, basic training and supplements are Level 1-3, hormone optimization is Level 6, peptides and SARMs are Level 7, and full multi-pathway protocols are Level 10. On the mind ladder, coffee is Level 1 and neural implants are Level 10. On the spirit ladder, meditation is Level 1 and ibogaine is Level 10. Most people sit at Level 1-2 on body, Level 1 on mind, and Level 0-1 on spirit.
Is higher-level biohacking safe?
Risk rises with altitude, which is exactly why you climb one rung at a time rather than jumping levels. The lower rungs (sleep, training, nutrition, measured supplementation) are very safe and evidence-based. Higher rungs — hormones, peptides, gene and stem-cell work, strong psychedelics, and neural hardware — carry real risk and should be guided by bloodwork, data, and qualified oversight. The goal is informed ascent, never reckless leaps.
Why is Level 10 a protocol instead of a single compound?
Because every human attribute is driven by multiple independent pathways. Muscle growth, for example, runs on the androgen receptor, the IGF-1/Akt/mTOR axis, myostatin inhibition, and satellite-cell proliferation at the same time. Activating only one leaves the others holding you back. Level 10 means firing every pathway simultaneously — the principle behind the Mass Blast protocol and Tony Huge’s Law 5, Independent Receptor Stacking.
Who should start climbing the biohacking ladders?
Anyone who refuses to accept their default ceiling. You are already a biohacker the moment you drink coffee or take creatine — so the only real decision is whether you climb consciously or stay frozen on Level 1. Beginners start with sleep, training, and data; advanced users move into hormones, peptides, and protocol-level stacking under proper monitoring.
